Traveling & Raving: 9 Upcoming Regional Music Festivals Around Thailand To End 2018 With a Bang
Festival season to close out 2018 is right around the corner, and if you’re looking to travel somewhere nearby for a fun occasion to ring in the last months, we’ve got just the right list for you! We’ve put together several upcoming regional music festivals of November and December of 2018 that we feel are definitely worth going to.
It’s The Ship
It’s The Ship is the brainchild of Livescape Asia’s journey in creating a one of a kind festival at sea. The Royal Caribbean cruise returns for her fifth festival voyage this coming November 4th to 7th of 2018. The ship will take on the route of Singapore-Phuket-Singapore, allowing guests the chance to partake in a luxe onboard experience along with a day trip on the sunny shores of Thailand. The jam packed itinerary allows partygoers to choose from a wide variety of activity options throughout the trip. From mini golf to beer pong, to a vast number of extravaganzas that last till dawn - rest assured that it’ll be a shipcation to remember.
Acts who will be sailing aboard includes Vini Vici, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, Cash Cash, and Big Shaq as captain! Unfortunately, cabin sales are now sold out at the time of writing.

Quest Festival
Quest Festival has been dubbed as Vietnam’s premiere festival in combining music, arts, nature and lifestyle into one. Having received glowing feedback over past editions, this year, Quest returns for 3 days on the 23rd to 25th of November. Located on the idyllic mountaintops of Son Tinh Camp, a short ride from Hanoi, attendees are treated to lush surroundings of flora and fauna.
Each day consists of a wide selection of performances, activities and workshops to choose from. The lineup includes acts from all over the world, namely The F16S from India, Trees & the Wild from Indonesia, Third Son from the UK and many more. Mel Tarot, Watercolor making postcards and African dance are a mere handful of programs

Waterzonic Myanmar
Waterzonic Myanmar, set for the 10th of November, comes as the franchise of the successful Thai edition, with their latest September show featuring Crankdat, Gammer, Yellow Claw and more. The water-themed festival returns with a Poseidon themed stage and a lineup that includes Tomorrowland resident Yves V, Dutch house duo Sick Individuals, hardstyle act Angerfist, and British progressive duo Third Party.
The festival will be held at The One Entertainment Park in the city of Yangon. General admission and VIP tickets are currently on sale on selected online retailers and box office counters.

Don’t Let Daddy Know Myanmar
EA Events, the brainchild behind Don’t Let Daddy Know events worldwide, have joined forces with Brave Entertainment for the latest edition of the festival franchise. Following the successes of DLDK Amsterdam, Manchester, India and many more - Don’t Let Daddy Know Yangon will take place on the 30th of November at The One Entertainment Park. While the full lineup has yet to be announced, headliners and #2 DJs in the world, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have been slated to close out the show with a bang!

808 Myanmar
808 Festival Mandalay comes as an extension off of 808 Festival Yangon and Bangkok, which will be held in December. The Mandalay edition, however, will take place earlier on the 4th of November.
The lineup includes Dutch hitmaker R3HAB, Polish house act Sikdope, powerhouse DJ Gammer and Brooks.
General admission, VIP and VVIP table packages are currently online and at selected box outlets.

ZoukOut 2018
Zoukout returns this year for one day on the 1st of December 2018. Set to take place on the beaches of Sentosa island in the lion city of Singapore, the festival is one of the few in Asia with dawn-to-dusk performance hours. There certainly is something magical about watching your favorite act against the rising sun above the horizons. ZoukOut is known for a having a compact yet extremely strong list of acts on their lineup. Last year’s edition brought about the likes of DJ Snake, Yellow Claw, Marshmello, Axwell Ingrosso and Flume. This year is no different - with the recent announcement of their full phase lineup, Acts on the lineup include Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, W&W, Galantis, Timmy Trumpet and KSHMR.

Epizode
Calling out all techno lovers! Epizode Festival will be held over a period of eleven days from the 28th of December to the 8th of January on the tranquil Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. Epizode aims to create a completely new experience here in Southeast Asia, with a focus on contemporary art and music. The all-round immersive festival invites partygoers to partake in a freeing movement that encourages creativity and expression of oneself. The massive lineup includes Dubfire, Ferry Corsten, Sunju Hargun, Swoosh and Weng Weng, among many others.
A multi pass that allows an unlimited number of entries over the duration of the festival is now available for purchase. Group and sister bundles are also options for attendees who will be in groups.

Sunburn Festival
Sunburn Festival’s annual year-end festival returns on the 29th to 31st of December at Oxford Golf Resort in Pune, India. Set atop a scenic hill, the festival has earned its name for not just bringing in some of the biggest acts, but for putting on a magnificent show with a stage and fireworks to match. Last year brought around the likes of DJ Snake, Martin Garrix, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, each putting on a high energy show that left fans wanting more. This year’s lineup has just been announced, with DJ Snake and Axwell Ingrosso as the headliners, along with pop sensation Bazzi, Alan Walker, Krewella and Salvatore Ganacci.

Djakarta Warehouse Project
Known as the largest festival in Asia, Djakarta Warehouse Project’s 10th anniversary will be their biggest one yet. This year, the show, dubbed as DWP X, will be relocating to Bali for a 3-day fiesta. The second phase lineup sports an A-list billing of genres fit for every enthusiast. Expect a stellar live performance by The Weeknd, and electrifying powerhouse sets by Major Lazer, DJ Snake, RL Grime and Afrojack. Fans also rejoice at the appearance of Porter Robinson, Slushii and fan favorite Lost Frequencies. Judging by the turnout of previous years’ with 90,000 attendees, one can already imagine the scale of world-class production and theatrics in store for this very special anniversary edition.
