Beervana, one of Thailand’s biggest craft beer importers, had just celebrated their 6th anniversary with the Beervana Carnival Bangkok 2018 on Saturday 29 September, 2018 at The Link Asoke-Makkasan. As one of Thailand’s most trusted hunters and suppliers of quality brews from around the world, the event turned out to be a great success and truly a beer lover’s dream.
Those in attendance were treated with over 100 craft beers from over 20 companies including Stone, Deschutes, Rogue, Anderson Valley, Founder, Melvin, Whale, Knee Deep, Behemoth, Belching Beaver, Tuatara, and many more. With all the beers in the event being sold at a discounted price, it was a great chance to explore all the types of beers like India Pale Ale, Double IPA, Stout, Sour Ale, Porter, Lager, Pale Ale, Wheat Ale, and Blonde Ale from many brands.
Aside from the impressive lineup of beverages, the event also featured a splendid selection of beer-friendly munchies from some of Bangkok’s favorite eateries. Whether you like to down your pint along with burgers, tacos, fries, pork skewers, Hainanese chicken rice, or smoked alligator, you could find it all in the event. Everything was eventually sold out by as early as 9.30 pm.
With the food and drinks all sorted, the Beervana Carnival lived up to its name with all sorts of games and activities where you can enjoy with your friends or anyone in the event. You could try your hands on "axe throwing" with the Golden Axe Throw Club, play "digital Beer Pong" with Pongconnect, or join the Brewery Cosplay competition in which the winner took home 3 crates worth of beer!
While everybody was enjoying all the food, drinks, and activities around the area, the central area served as a mini stage for musicians and DJs to make the night as lively as ever. Both international and local bands took turns serenading the crowd with rhythm and tunes of Pop Rock, Blues, and Jazz. The lineup for the night included Abuse the youth, Matthew Fischer & The Fishes, and Ample Soul to name a few.
