6 Must-see Concerts Happening This June & July 2018
Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Foster The People, and LANY are only handful of notable names who have graced the stages in Bangkok over the last couple of months. With summer right around the corner, more and more acts both regional and international have added Thailand onto their list of stops on their Asian tours. From a selection of so many shows to choose from, we’ve curated a list of upcoming concerts that you shouldn’t miss out in this June and July of 2018!
Boyce Avenue
Youtube Sensations Boyce Avenue are set to perform in Bangkok on their upcoming Asia tour that also includes three cities in the Philippines and Singapore. The pop-rock American trio was first formed in 204 by brothers Alejandro Luis Manzano, Daniel Enrique Manzano, and Fabian Rafael Manzano. They first started out by posting covers of popular singles on YouTube, such as tunes by Justin Timberlake, Coldplay and Rihanna, before releasing original music. Today, Boyce Avenue has over 3.4 billion views on YouTube in total and more than 10 million channel subscribers. Boyce Avenue’s headline show is dated on the upcoming 5th of June at the BCC Hall Central Ladprao with Room 39 as the special opening act. Tickets are now on sale at 2,800 / 2,300 / 1,800 THB on Thai Ticket Major. Fans also have the choice of purchasing additional meet and greet packages at 1,600 THB, allowing them to personally interact with the trio ahead of the show!

Celine Dion Live in Bangkok
Fans in Asia rejoice at the news that global icon Celine Dion is set to make her return this coming July for the first time in ten years with debut shows in Singapore, Jakarta, Taipei, and Bangkok on her LIVE 2018 Tour. The Canadian singer is currently in the seventh year of her Las Vegas Residency, having played hundreds of shows to millions of fans. Don’t miss out on the incredible opportunity of seeing her perform legendary tunes “My Heart Will Go On”, “The Power of Love”, “I’m Alive” and “Alone”. Celine Dion will be performing on the 23rd of July 2018 at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani. Devendra Banhart
Organizer Have You Heard? invites Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart to Bangkok city. He first broke into the scene back in 2002 with the release of his debut album “The Charles C. Leary” and has since put out a vast discography of fan-favorite tunes and EPs such as “Carmencita”, “Baby” and “Saturday Night”. Banhart has been dubbed by the community as the creator of the musical movement “Freak Folk”, while his lyrics have been described as “fantastical, idealistic, and poetic with the occasional trace of innuendos” by the New York Times. Banhart will be performing at the SIam Motors Auditorium on the 16th of June 2018. Unfortunately, tickets are currently sold out at the time of writing.

Lula: First Solo Concert
Following several albums and numerous releases under her belt, Lula has been labeled as having one of Thailand’s incredibly special voices. Her genre of music falls into bossa nova and pop, and she has collaborated with fellow Thai acts Jetset’er, Soul After Six and Calories Blah Blah over the years. This coming 9th of June 2018, Lula will be hosting her very first headline show in 12 years titled “Little Miss Lullaby” at the GMM Live House on the 8th floor of Central World featuring 3 special guests! With production design work by DUCKUNIT, attendees are guaranteed a one of a kind show. Tickets are now on sale 2,500 / 2,000 / 1,500 THB on Thai Ticket Major.

SE SO NEON
“Se So Neon brings the energy of rock through a lo-fi filter”, says Danny Hwang of Korean Indie. The three-piece band hailing from South Korea have recently been awarded as Rookie of the Year by the 2018 Korean Music Awards. The trio is known to have a different art direction from what music listeners would usually expect from K-POP bands. If you’re into discovering new music and exploring new genres, be sure to check this one out as Se So Neon have unique sounding melodies and interesting vocals to match! Se So Neon will be performing at Play Yard by Studio Bar on the 14th of June at 7 PM. Tickets are currently on sale at 400THB.

HONNE’s debut in Bangkok last year sold out in 10 minutes, and this year’s performance is anticipated to sell out just as fast! Performing at Mangosteen Music Festival alongside The Toys and Mean, the electronic duo hailing from the United Kingdom will no doubt put on another world-class performance for the books!
