Songkranzonic 2018: An Extraordinary Songkran Party Experience by Chang Music Connection
From the beautiful minds behind a one-of-a-kind music festival like "Waterzonic" comes an idea for an epic Songkran water festival. With the collaboration from world-class DJs, both local and international, plus the undying energy from the crowd of over 10,000 people over the course of 4 days, the idea was turned into a sensational reality. Chang Music Connection presents Songkranzonic 2018 at Oasis Arena on April 12-15 was supposed to be a newbie to the Songkran party scene, but now it has surely become one of the parties that revelers all around the globe will look forward to attending every year.
Once you step into the party, the first thing that will catch your eye is the bright green "Friend Meeting Point" on the right-hand side that helped us locate our buddies within minutes and not waste time treading through the sea of party people. On the left side were food stalls that were ready to refuel us partygoers with a variety of delicious bites so that we can continue to rave the whole night through.
As we walked further in, we were welcomed by monumental figures of the "Guardian of the Sea" that were closely guarding both sides of the stage. The attention to detail on the stage design, graphics, a blue-red color tone was superb. Couple all that with some epic lighting and special effects like pyrotechnics, colorful fireworks, and water sprays and we've got ourselves a phenomenal show.
It was four nights of non-stop EDM from the very best DJs the world has to offer. Both local and international stars took turns lighting things up at the party starting with DVBBS on the first night. When their hit song "Tsunami" came through the speakers, the crowd knew it was time to get wild.
On the second night Mercer and Julian Jordan took the stage and warmed up the crowd before BORGEOUS came along and turned up the heat with a mix of his hits like "Toast", "Invincible", "They Don't Know Us". It was another amazing night of Songkran celebrations.
Wasted Penguinz and Frontliner followed up on the third night with an extraordinary performance, but it was Brennan Heart that took it home with his signature Hard-style beats. The crowd was left impressed and couldn't wait for the next day.
The party closed out with a real bang on the fourth and final night of Songkarnzonic 2018 as Shapov, Excision, and especially Moksi that pulled out all the stops for the crowd that was getting all wet and wild. An hour with Moksi felt like 5 minutes when he was pulling out all the hits like "Lucky", "The Dopest", and "Set Me Free" back-to-back. Excision got the headbangers all hyped up with hits like Her, Rumble, The Paradox, and G Shit. Everybody was giving it their all as the curtains started to fall for this Songkran party and the atmosphere was unreal, to say the least.
All the right elements of a great music festival came together perfectly for Songkranzonic 2018. The production was spectacular, the DJs were phenomenal, and the crowd was out of this world. The organizers said that this would be "The Ultimate Experience of Songkran Festival" and those who went knew full well what they were talking about. Also, huge thanks to Chang for giving all of us a Songkran experience of a lifetime.
