Dropzone Festival Presents an All-New Concept With a Lineup Featuring Dash Berlin, Kaskade, Paul Van Dyk and More
The all-new Dropzone Festival brings about a concept like no other. Created with the motto “rave to survive”, the dystopian-like festival on the 2nd and 3rd of March presents an impressive roster of artists, some of whom have yet to make a Thai debut.
One thing that sets Dropzone Festival apart from the rest is the choice of genres in music selection — trance, trap, and techno. The complete lineup has recently been revealed, and it does not disappoint. Notable names Dash Berlin, Kaskade and Paul Van Dyk head the list with an impressive start, with Cosmic Gate, Otto Knows, and Thomas Gold is rounding off the main leading Core Stage. Fans of trap will be delighted with the Armory stage, which features connoisseur turntablist A-Trak, fan favorite “Deep Down Low”’s Valentino Khan, and ball-trap Frenchman UZ joining the ranks. The third stage, Station, showcased by Kolour, is a haven for techno enthusiasts, with veteran acts Sven Vath, Marco Carola and Pan-Pot spinning on the decks.
The festival’s location at the Wonderworld Extreme Park in Bangkok, Thailand is an abandoned theme park that will be transformed into an apocalyptic scenario.
Also worth mentioning is that the concept of Dropzone Festival has been curated by renowned visual designers with credits such as Blizzard’s 'Overwatch' and award-winning movie ‘Avatar’, while the stages will be put together by Barcelona-based companies Switch Audiovisuals, co-tech producers of Sónar Barcelona, and LEDSControl, who are incredibly well known for their breathtaking lighting and production designs for structures across the globe such as DWP Jakarta's Garuda stage, Zouk Singapore, and Space and Amnesia Ibiza.
Magnificent stages aside, Dropzone Festival have gone the extra mile by ensuring an all-round guest experience by including three additional interactive areas. Attendees looking to fuel their adrenaline even further are able to challenge their friends to a thrilling game of LAZGAM laser tag at the Arena, try out the various selections of food and drinks at the Bazaar, and journey into another world through the 360 Dome and try out a hands-on feel on the Virtual Reality Painter at the Arcade.
