Levels 2.0: Sukhumvit Soi 11's Levels Reopens After Extensive Renovation
The lifespan of a nightclub in Thailand is not very long. Either you find the right market and continue operations for years to come, or you do not and shut down after a year. There are no mediocre clubs that survive in the City of Angels' notorious nightlife scene. Only the strong survive.
One of those strong performing clubs, LEVELS held its “final party” and closed its doors to the public on October 8th, 2017 - but not because it was going to disappear into oblivion. On the contrary, the Soi 11 super club was simply preparing for a major face-lift and venue upgrade after 5 years of successful operations. The well-known club located in the Aloft Hotel has been home to multiple parties and has welcomed some of the most renown DJs that has ever come through Thailand. Most notably, in 2013 LEVELS managed to spot Martin Garrix’s potential early on in his career and managed to book him for a very personal club show while his song “Animals” was blowing up in the charts. That same performance would probably be hard to fit in with the #1 ranked DJ busy touring the world.
But that is LEVELS; you can expect the unexpected. Even A-list celebrities like Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic and the Chelsea football team among others have fit the nightlife destination into their party schedule and paid a visit to the club. For us non-celebs however, partying among the elite has given the club a very special place in our heart. There is a unique energy at LEVELS that many other places just do not have. With the upcoming changes, the soul and character of the place will undoubtedly remain the same - but here are 6 upgrades you will surely not want to miss the chance to experience.
Brand New Design on the Terrace & Main-Room
When you hopped into Aloft Hotel external elevators and jumped out of it onto LEVEL’s terrace area, it always felt like you appeared in a new world. Long gone are the bustling streets and all there was left for you to concentrate on is the grand ballroom and the tropical look of the outdoor terrace. This has now been revamped to look even more grandiose and spacious so that the experience you have when you enter LEVELS will be one you want to keep coming back to!
State-of-The-Art Lighting Systems Installed
If you thought the previous lighting system that bounced off the grand chandelier night-in-night-out was something, wait until you see the newly installed state-of-the-art lighting systems. No longer are you going to feel like you are in a club. Instead, it might feel more like a night out at your favorite festival. Wearing sunglasses in the club might start to make sense now.
The Newest Sound System From L-Acoustics
The heart and soul of a club should always be in the music that the club plays. With the renovations, LEVELS has chosen to install top of the line speakers from L-Acoustics into the entire club making the music that clubbers will be dancing to, as crisp as ever. The solid performance of the world-renown sound system will surely enhance your night out whether on a weekday or weekend.
LED Screen On the DJ Booth
One thing that was always missing when a big name DJ came through LEVELS was the ability to showcase graphics projected onto an LED screen. Gone are the days when music was just experienced with the ears. It is the 21st century and music can also be felt and seen. Therefore, with the installation of the LED screen behind the DJ booth, which is the only hydraulic DJ booth in the country, the LEVEL experience will be explosive!
Full Live-Band
With space and system constraints, the live-band at levels was never given the right stage to shine on. Now with the new renovations, this has been made possible. Staging and equipment have now been carefully selected to ensure that when the band hits their high-notes, the crowd can go wild with them and dance the night away without a worry in the world left.
Mezzanine VVIP Area Upgrade
The mezzanine was always a perk when the club was full in the past. It was a good place to go and have a birds-eye view of what was going on in the club. However, for most people, it was never the first place you wanted to be seated because of how far it was from all of the action on the dance floor. The newly upgraded mezzanine, however, is fitting for a king. This is where all the VVIP tables will be and what better than to flex than being seated where other people cannot go.
