ZoukOut Singapore: The Epic 2-day Beach Music Festival You Have to Experience at Least Once in your Life
What is your most favorite element of an epic music festival? Is it the world-class level of production that immerses you into an unforgettable experience of lights and sound? Is it the impressive location like no other that takes your breath away? Or is it the line-up of your favorite DJs that is like a dream come true? One event that possesses all these qualities at once is ZoukOut Singapore.
ZoukOut is a festival organized every year since 2000 by one of the world’s best clubs, Zouk. And it’s not an exaggeration: the club was ranked as Asia’s Best Club and 4th in the DJ Mag Top 100 clubs list. Located in heart of Singapore, Zouk possess an interior design that is almost a spectacle in itself. The world’s top DJs including Carl Cox and Avicii had already put on memorable performances at the venue. Its popularity has thus seen it not only a favorite for Singaporeans but an attraction to international travelers as well. Let's learn a bit more about the ZoukOut event itself and what they have in store for us this year.
ZoukOut is Asia’s largest Electronic Dance beach festival and is also one of the oldest; entertaining fans of the genre for no less than 17 years on Singapore’s Sentosa Island. This year, on 8-9 December 2017 at Siloso Beach, ZoukOut is back with an epic two-day event, beginning when the sun sets and raging the entire night until the sun rises at 8 in the morning, making it Asia's only dusk to dawn music festival. It’s almost guaranteed that time will fly by, leaving you thoroughly satisfied before heading back to your hotels.
Right from the get-go when you walk down Sentosa’s famed Siloso beach road, you will see your fellow ZoukOut audience migrating to a specific direction, leading up an orderly set of lines. After you enter, you will be opened up to a party paradise like no other. Be prepared to meet a crowd of over 40,000 fans from over 60 countries around the globe over the next two days happily clamoring to get some alcohol in the many tents, all wanting that buzz when listening to the industry’s best DJs.
Have we mentioned the DJs? As they say, “better late than never”. ZoukOut features some of the best electronic dance disc jockeys from across the globe, with names such as Hardwell, Martin Garrix, and Zedd all performing in previous editions. This year, ZoukOut will have an even more diverse set of music styles, ranging from Hip Hop, to EDM, and all the way to Trap. The likes of Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Marshmello, Flume, Robin Schulz, Yellow Claw, R3HAB, and DJ Snake are ready to grace the stages. And with those just some of the big names in their third line up, expect a few extra surprises in the fourth and fifth.
If the DJs aren’t the factor for your decision to come back, then the food definitely will. While you search for your booze of choice, stalls filled with various food are sure to distract you. From hotdogs to chicken rice, ZoukOut has you covered from dinner all the way to breakfast the very next morning. And in this year’s edition, the organizers are collaborating with a very well-known food festival brand from Singapore, guaranteeing a food village experience that could be a real feast.
Currently, a full two-day pass costs 228 SGD (Singapore Dollars), equivalent to approximately 5,560 baht at the time of writing. For many of us, this might not be the cheapest event to attend, factoring in the cost of travel, accommodation, and food for the whole length of your trip. But given the epic line-up of DJs, the food festival inside a music festival, and all the people you will get meet from all around the world, it’s just worth it. Just book a hotel around Sentosa for your ease of traveling to and from the party venue and let yourself loose with your crew. We guarantee that after it is all said and done, you will be left asking for more.
We understand that December is in the midst of the festive season and busy time for everyone. If you cannot make it to ZoukOut due to any reason, there is no need to worry. Whenever a good time rolls around, you and your friends can always hop on the next plane to Singapore and spend a few nights exploring the city and enjoy yourselves at the Zouk nightclub!
