Third Party Shares New Single 'Come with Me', Sophomore Album and the Progressive House Scene

UK natives Harry Bass and Jonnie Macaire, also known as Third Party, first broke into the progressive house following productions on Steve Angello’s “SIZE” record label. Since then, the duo has gone on to launch their very own label “Release”, which is now home to tracks by Corey James, Will K, Sentinel and Pete K.

Their 2017 debut album “HOPE” was praised by many, cementing itself as one of the finest bodies of progressive house music in the new generations. With a sold-out debut LIIIVE show in Liverpool Olympia this past year and a new album underway, 2019 is bound to be even bigger for the two DJ/producers. We had the pleasure of interviewing Third Party following their recent show in Bangkok. Read on to find out more regarding their new single “Come With Me”, sophomore album and thoughts on the progressive house scene today.

What was the inspiration behind your new single 'Come With Me'?

We were really inspired to write another euphoric emotionally charged single similar to ‘Have No Fear’. This is because Have No Fear connected with so many of our fans around the world we really felt that we could create something of a similar nature.

The core message is that there’s always hope and belief to be found even when you're in a dark place and can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. Whether you find it from friends/family or even hope can be found when listening to certain music.

Following “Hope”, do you have a second debut album currently in the works?

Yes, it’s been about a year in the making but we are not far from announcing the release date!

Do you have plans of showcasing your live set (as done in Liverpool) in the future?

Yes of course! It’s a lot of work but we loved pushing the boundaries and testing ourselves with live equipment, we have some exciting news coming very soon...

What is your opinion on the progressive house scene today and where do you see it going in the next few years?

We think it’s in a real healthy place right now, the fact we never changed genre and have remained strong shows you that the fans of good progressive house music never went away! Also, the fact that one of the pioneers of the genre Swedish House Mafia are coming back in 2019 shows you that it’s about to make a big comeback as a whole and we can’t wait!

If you could collab with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

Chris Martin

What are your thoughts on hosting Release label nights in Asia?

It’s something we really want to do, the label is only getting bigger and stronger so hopefully, in 2019 we can make some release shows happen in Asia as we love playing out here!

What do you have in store for the rest of 2018 that you’re able to share?

Well Come With Me is the 3rd single from our forthcoming album, and hopefully, before the end of the year, we will be dropping the 4th single! Expect to be hearing a lot of music from us from now on, the studio hours have been put in, and now it’s time to share what we have created with the world!
