Where are you answering these questions?
Sydney, Australia
You are a Bass Music DJ and Producer duo from the UK. How did you get in touch with electronic music in the first place and how did you get into DJing and music production?
We was already DJs beforehand, playing on the London circuit at underground parties. We were also producing but nothing serious. Then we met and started messing around with producing tracks together, and found the likes of TNGHT - Buggn which was around the same tempo as Grime and Dubstep. Then Ball So Hard was born.
You play and produce a fresh and bass-heavy mix of Trap, Grime, UK Bass and beyond. How would you describe your own music, what is distinct about it?
We are influenced by a lot of different styles of music ranging from cinematic scores that create a lot of atmosphere, bass driven genres like Grime, Dubstep, Hip-Hop to percussion found in World Music.
You are best known for your track W2L [Welcome To London] - a collaboration with TroyBoi, which was released on Diplo's Mad Decent record label. What other tracks would you recommend to someone that is not yet familiar with your music?
Check out ‘Uppers' with our bro Mr. Carmack and our new single ‘Endz’ which is out later this month. We also have our Legacy mix series on our Soundcloud.
What are you currently working and focusing on? What’s on your agenda for the near future?
We just launched our own label called O.N.E it stands for Originality Never Ends. Our first release will be our new E.P. which drops in October.
What were the best and the worst gigs you ever played and what were the funniest things ever occurred during any of your performances?
I wouldn't say we have a worst gig, but some of the best gigs we have played were in Sydney, Ukraine and LA. Those are the most memorable ones as they were amazing from start to finish. I cant think of the funniest thing that's occurred off the top of my head, but one of the best things that's happened was someone proposing during our set and getting a yes!
You live in London, the capital and most populous city of the UK. What can you tell us about clubbing and nightlife there? Do you have any nightlife related suggestions for first-time visitors?
We would have said Fabric, but unfortunately, London nightlife is suffering from a lot of club closing right now. Head out to East London and check out The Nest, Visions and Birthdays.
On 22nd September you will make your Thailand Debut at Live RCA Bangkok. Have you visited Thailand before? What can the Bangkok crowd expect of your upcoming performance?
It’s our first time in Thailand, so we are looking forward to playing at RCA Bangkok. People can expect a lot of energy and hype. As well as DJ’ing there is now a live element to our show; we love interacting with our audience.
