Where are you answering these questions?
From my home in Los Angeles :)
You are living in Los Angeles (USA), but hailing from Brazil. How did you get in touch with electronic dance music in the first place and how did you get into DJing and music production?
I was always very involved with music, performing in bands etc. and a good friend of mine show me electronic dance music and I was amazed on how the DJ could do everything on his own. When I saw that it was one person producing the whole music and then performing I got very excited about doing the same thing.
You produce Electro House & Progressive House. How would you describe your own music in just a few words?
Breakdowns with a lot of feeling and energetic drops! Love to see the crowd jumping :)
Your breakthrough was in 2013, when Hardwell played your track “Kick It Hard" on the Tomorrowland main stage. Highly successful tracks followed, such as “5 Days”, “Kismet” and “Slammer”. What other tracks, remixes or mix-sets would you recommend to someone that is not yet familiar with your music?
I think you’ve already mentioned some good ones, to add a couple: “Hero” and “That Drop”. Cant wait to share the new ones though, they are different from what I’ve been doing.
Looking back on eventful and equally successful years, what was the best and the worst gigs you ever played and what were the funniest things that occurred during any of your performances?
Well, I definitely had some bad gigs specially in the beginning of my career but all the amazing gigs made the journey be worth it. I love to play to big crowds so my favorite gigs are the festivals, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, The Day After, Life in Color, etc. There was this one gig that I was performing and a drunk guy invaded the stage, I didn’t see it and he got very close to my equipments and let his drink fall over my MacBook! Haha now I can say it was funny but at the time I was very pissed.
On 29th August you will make your Thailand Debut at Safe House. Have you ever visited Thailand before? What can the Bangkok crowd expect of your upcoming performance?
This is my first time going to Thailand! I am very excited!!! I’ve been visiting a lot of new places and it is always amazing to learn about new cultures and meet new people. You guys can expect a great fucking party with a lot of energy and new tracks!!!! Can’t wait to see you all in Thailand!
