Dutch DJs Attempt New World Record for Longest DJ Marathon
Cheer the Dutch DJs as they attempt to break the world record with the longest 24-hour DJ marathon lasting up to 10 days!
With the COVID-19 global pandemic still in full swing, almost every business is having a hard time getting through these tough times. The music industry is no exception with restaurants, bars, and nightclubs all have to close their doors due to lockdowns in most countries and concerts, live events, and music festivals getting canceled or indefinitely postponed
This leaves several DJs short of bookings and unemployed. Given the severity of the situation, Anthony Donner, former editor-in-chief of DJ Mag Netherlands came up with an idea to bring together the DJs in the Netherlands for a once-in-a-lifetime project to break the world record of the longest DJ marathon with 10 days of non-stop back-to-back performances. The project also aims to support the medical and healthcare workers who work day and night to help all of us overcome the pandemic by providing them with music 24/7.
Anthony is joined by Amrish Rahosing (better known as DJ Dutch Hustlaz), owner of DJ School Alphen and a DJ himself, as organizers of this DJ marathon event that started on Thursday, April 9th, at 20:00 (CET). The marathon will come to a conclusion on 20:00 (CET) of April 19th. Until then, you can still enjoy performances from top DJs to rising stars that’ll be bringing all styles of music including Hardstyle, Urban, Techno, and everything dance music has to offer.
If you’re a fan of electronic music then you definitely wouldn’t want to miss out on this great event. Watch the event live through live streaming platform Twitch or the website in the link below. Let's join them in beating the world record together!
