Defected Virtual Festival – Enjoy Live House Music Online
To help music lovers get through the crisis, UK-based Defected Records is hosting an online 12-hour music festival!
The COVID-19 pandemic is having widespread effects on all sorts of industries and businesses. Among them is the music scene; events, concerts, and festivals are canceled left, right, and center to curb the infection numbers.
With all that’s going on, it’s hard to feel safe going out to enjoy yourself right now. Many have even opted to self-isolate for days or weeks on end.
But don’t think you’ll be left lonely. Defected Records, London-based house recording label, has just announced a special ‘live streaming’ music festival – Defected Virtual Festival.
The event, hosted at the Ministry of Sound this March 20, will be streamed online for music fans to enjoy for free worldwide, no matter where you are.
Defected Records is founded by Simon Dunmore, who’s been an iconic figure in UK’s house scene for over two decades. “Music and clubbing are an escape for many and, with social gatherings being rightfully restricted, we wanted to connect people online in the hope that they appreciate they are not alone,” said Simon regarding the situation.
Defected Virtual Festival features a phenomenal lineup including Monki, Sam Divine, Low Steppa, The Shapeshifters, Melvo Baptiste, Joey Negro, Dan Shake, Darius Syrossian, as well as the founder himself, Simon Dunmore.
Each act will take the virtual stage with a live set and a spectacular show by dancers from the Glitterbox team, which will no doubt bring this online fest to another level.
The entirety of this performance will last 12 hours from from 12.00 PM to 12.00 AM in the UK (7.00 PM to 7.00 AM on Thailand's clock) on March 20.
Don’t let the coronavirus ruin your fun; you can still dance and enjoy the music you love even from your own living room.
