It’s hard to find a band currently more popular among indie rock fans than Two Door Cinema Club. Hailing from Northern Ireland, the trio makes a much-anticipated return to Thailand, this time with a full-scale concert. Two Door Cinema Club Live Bangkok 2019 is happening at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani.
This show marks the second time TDCC brings their live performance to Thailand. Previously, fans of the rock band came running for the tickets as soon as they hear the news. This time, with all the surrounding hype, is no different.
Founded in 2007, Two Door Cinema Club is made up of three members: Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday, and Kevin Baird.
Inspired by the trio’s love for movies and one of their hometown locales, Tudor Cinema, the mispronounced name later became the one that their fans know and love.
Two Doors Cinema Club released their debut album, Tourist History, back in 2010. The album saw considerable success, landing on various charts in six countries as well as winning Irish Album of the Year 2010.
Later in 2012, the band’s second album, Beacon, soared to the top of Irish Albums chart while taking spots on numerous rankings in eight countries. The third album, Gameshow, achieved similar acclaim and featured an eclectic mix of genres, adding variety to TDCC’s sound and style.
These achievements, coupled with the members’ gift and raw talent, leave no room for doubt why Two Door Cinema Club has become a favorite among international rock fans. The trio’s sensational live performance solidifies their spot among the top artists featured in lineups of major music festivals around the world.
As recent as June 2019, the three released False Alarm, their fourth and latest album, and announced a new, worldwide tour. Thai fans couldn’t be happier when we heard that Bangkok is among their destinations.
