IKEA X Teenage Engineering: Swedish Furniture Giant And Audio Firm Announced a Portable Party Collection
In June 2019, IKEA announced a collaboration with Teenage Engineering, a Swedish music hardware company best known for its electronics and synthesizers, to launch a “music party” collection inspired by the idea of having everything at your fingertips to spontaneously throw a party in the comfort of your own home.
The line of products is to be called “FREKVENS”, which means “Frequency” in Swedish and will consist of up to 22 party essentials including an electronic choir, turntable, and party lighting. The entire collection is set to be released in June 2019.
IKEA recently shared on their official Instagram account @ikeatoday the latest photos of the FREKVENS collection. Judging by the pictures and design layout, the new series of party equipment will feature IKEA’s distinct minimalist aesthetic with exciting bright body colors. FREKVENS will most likely be modular, meaning you can set up the lights and sounds pieces in any way you like. The price of each item is expected to range between 5-99 USD (158-3,122 THB).
With the convenience it provides, a sleek design, and an affordable price tag makes the FREKVENS collection something worth saving up for, especially for all the party people out there. Within next year, you can ditch the chaos of going out to your usual bars and take the parties on Friday nights straight to your home.
