Meet ENEBY - The Minimally-Designed Wireless Speakers From IKEA’s Latest Partnership With Sonos
Towards the end of 2017, the news of a collaboration between Swedish furniture giant IKEA and a leader in smart speakers Sonos was making headlines everywhere where they announced a “future home sound” partnership that will arrive in 2019. Now, IKEA's give a first taste of what's to come by releasing its first-ever Bluetooth speakers into the market. The 'ENEBY' speakers are designed to fit into IKEA's minimalist storage units and are up for sale in both the US and the UK.
The ENEBY speakers comes in two sizes, an 8x8 inch model and a larger 12x12 inch model. The outer fabric mesh is removable and is available in two colors, black and grey. The product features a simple colour palette that pairs black or grey polyester fabric mesh cover with black or white plastic body. The minimalistic nature of the product allows it to easily blend in with your home decor, but they're best paired with IKEA's very own KALLAX and EKAT storage systems. The single aluminum knob controls the volume as well as the bass and treble. The handle allows it to be simply moved around. You can also fit it with a speaker stand and place it on your furniture of choice or make it completely portable with a battery pack that will last up to 10 hours at full charge.
IKEA sure kept things in the affordable side as the ENEBY starts at $49 (1,527 THB) for the 8x8 inch model and $89 (2,773 THB) for the larger 12x12 inch model. You can plug it into a power outlet in your home, or, for $20 (623 THB), you can add a battery. You can also get hold of the speaker stand for only $10 (312 THB). We're sure it will hit the store in Thailand in no time. By then, we'll get to see for ourselves how this minimalist speaker fits into the comfort of our homes.
