One of the most hyped gadgets in 2019 was an innovation by BOSE, an American manufacturer of sound systems and audio equipment. To give outdoor lovers an all-new and improved audio experience, the company introduces ‘BOSE Frames’ – sunglasses with integrated speakers.

The reason we’re sharing the updates on this hot item now is that BOSE Frames have officially entered Thai stores just as 2019 ended. And with the recent release of BOSE AR, these shades are simply a must-have!

BOSE Frames are available in two models, although they feature identical material and function. Rondo sports round, retro-style shape, while Alto is all about that angular ‘modern classic’ look.

The shades are made from durable nylon, with all-black frames and greyish black lenses that block out 99% of UVA and UVB. But if you feel like other tones might fit your style better, BOSE offers replacement lenses with various coatings to choose from.

The shades’ first main feature is the miniaturized speakers on each arm. As with all BOSE equipment, these will produce clear, high-quality sounds. The open-ear design means you get to enjoy your favorite tracks while still being able to interact with the world around you. These are bonafide headphones, but you won’t feel like you’re wearing one.

Another notable feature is the integrated microphone. Once connected with your device via Bluetooth, it will let you access Siri and Google Assistant through voice command.

Now, you’ll be able to use not only music streaming apps, but also Google Maps, WhatsApp, and many more. You can even answer and make phone calls with the control button on the right arm.

There’s also the product companion app, BOSE Connect, which allows you to easily manage and get the most out of your audio equipment.

Last but not least, the third feature we'd like to mention is BOSE AR. The company’s “audio-first approach to augmented reality” combines AR tech and motion sensors to bring its users an immersive experience on smart devices.

With BOSE AR, you’ll be able to enjoy apps like The Lion King In Bose Radar and Sonic Samurai; have a virtual caddie guide you through golf courses via Golfshot; or get tourist tidbits on the go on Naviguide AR by Navisens.

BOSE Frames is currently available for 8,300 THB in BOSE stores at Siam Paragon and Central Embassy, as well as all Asavasopon shops and the online store.
