Though in Thailand we’ve been baking in the sun for a while, in the US, summer has just barely begun. In Hollywood, the season is the prime time for film studios to release their top-shelf titles.
As these massive blockbusters compete for a spot at the box office, we the audience get to reap all the benefits - spectacular special effects and casts full of A-listers. US ‘summer movies’ are typically released between April and August.
Summer 2019 opens with the record breaker, Avengers: Endgame, which has been top-trending globally from the moment it hit the cinemas. Theaters everywhere were packed full of fans. It currently stands as the second highest-grossing film of all time, snatching the #2 spot from the classic Titanic.
With this kind of epic start, things are already looking exciting. We’re taking it as a good sign and hope the 2019 summer program would be chock-full of awesome flicks. 1. Aladdin

After achieving global success 27 years ago for the animated version, Aladdin returns as a live-action movie.
It’s the tale of Aladdin - the thief who discovers an oil lamp that contains Genie. Per the pauper’s request, the djinn transforms him into a prince. Unfortunately, the evil sorcerer Jafar is also searching for the wish-granting lamp. Aladdin must stop him from getting the magic artifact at all cost.

2. Godzilla: King of the Monsters
