Bangkok’s Hottest Dessert: the Flaming Chocolate Mountain
Chocolate and ice-cream is a perfect match. It gets even better when set on fire! Meet Bangkok’s hottest dessert, which goes by the name of "Flaming Chocolate Mountain".
The unique ice cream sundae dessert, comprises three scoops of ice cream and homemade brownies, hidden inside a chocolate cone, topped with raspberry and Cointreau orange liqueur… then it’s set on fire.
It comes at the price of 380 Baht, and can be found on the menu of Mocking Tales. The dessert cafe & bar is located on the first floor of The Maze, on Thonglor Soi 4, a 10-minute walk from Thonglor BTS. (Show Map)
Other signature desserts are "Poisoned Apple" (baked apple, with apple sorbet, homemade caramel and crumble / 260 Baht), "Stolen Dwarf" (sparkling apple jelly, topped with beer sorbet / 198 Baht) and "The Lost Treasure" (black ink toast with Thai tea lava, and two ice cream scoops / 499 Baht).
