'Fruitfull' Offers Chef’s Table Experience in Quarantine
An all-new event lets you enjoy fine dining at home as well as live streams from famous chefs and DJs.
Food deliveries have replaced our dining options with most of us still stuck in lockdown. For foodies who frequently venture out for fine dining and chef’s table experience, things can bland fast. Not being able to enjoy expertly prepared food at top-tiered restaurants? Downright tragic.
Luckily, you’ll be spared all that troubles today. Scratch First, the team behind Wonderfruit festival, is cooking up an all-new event. Meet Fruitfull – an event series that brings together food, music, and rich stories in a delicious combo.
Its first set of events, “Lockdown”, promises to deliver a chef’s table experience to your doorstep. Prepare for culinary eye-openers by renowned restaurants and Michelin-starred chefs, who’ll serve you delightful and exquisite meals without you having to step outside.
Other than relishing these delectable menus, you also get to join the restaurant’s private live stream to see the chefs showcase their skills and interact with them in a casual Q&A session.
There will also be exclusive shows from well-known DJs and all sorts of activities the restaurants will host for its most loyal customers.
Leading the event debut is Bo.lan, a one-Michelin-starred Thai restaurant. The 7-course set is created by Chefs Bo (Duangporn Songvisawa) and Dylan Jones to deliver authentic Thai cuisine to your home.
The session will go live on April 24 at 19.00, featuring a set by DJ Maft Sai.
Next up is Gaa, another restaurant in Bangkok with its own Michelin star. For this event, Executive Chef Garima Arora has invited her friends, Chefs Jeremy Chan from Ikoyi (London, UK) and Kristian Baumann from 108 (Copenhagen, Denmark) to share their expertise.
The three chefs will be showcasing their takes on the Neo-African Eurasian cuisine, packed into feast-worthy party hampers. To go with the food, you’ll be hearing a set from British DJ Nick Luscombe.
On May 15, you’ll see bento-style meals elevated to fine dining by Chef Yusuke Takada, who has earned two Michelin stars at Osaka’s La Cime.
Then, on May 22, get ready for a collab between Chefs Prin Polsuk (Sumrub for Thai) and Cho Hee-sook (Seoul’s Hansikgonggan), who’ll combine Thai and Korean cuisine in a mouthwatering fusion.
If any of these sessions catch your eye, be sure to reserve your tickets now on Ticketmelon. Proceedings from these events will go towards COVID relief projects to help those most affected. You’ll be feeding your belly, your heart, and your soul!
