(Note: A “part” mentioned in these recipes can be whatever you make it. For example, if you’re going by a jigger (1.5 ounces / 44 ml), then “three parts” is just three jiggers. No need for complicated conversions.)
Americano
Ingredients: Campari, club soda, sweet vermouth.
Step: Combine one part Campari and one part sweet vermouth with ice in a tall glass. Top the rest of the glass with club soda and an orange slice, and it’s ready to be enjoyed.
Daiquiri
Ingredients: White rum, lime juice, simple syrup.
Steps: Shake ⅕ part white rum, ½ part simple syrup, and one part lime juice with ice. To serve, strain the drink into a chilled martini glass. And you’ve got yourself a Daiquiri.
Dirty Martini
Ingredients: Gin or vodka, dry vermouth, olive juice.
Steps: Stir half part dry vermouth, three parts gin/vodka, and a splash of olive juice in a glass filled with ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass and serve.
Manhattan
Ingredients: Rye whiskey, bitters, sweet vermouth.
Steps: Add two parts rye whiskey, ¾ part sweet vermouth, and two dashes of bitters to ice and stir to combine. Strain into a chilled coupe and enjoy.
Mint Julep
Ingredients: Bourbon, mint, sugar.
Steps: In a highball glass, muddle four mint leaves with a teaspoon of sugar and two teaspoons of water. Add crushed ice and two parts bourbon then stir well. All that’s left to do is to enjoy this refreshing cocktail!
Moscow Mule
Ingredients: Vodka, ginger beer, lime juice.
Steps: Combine four parts ginger beer, ⅕ part vodka, and 5ml of lime juice in a glass full of ice. Stir and garnish with a lime slice. Take a sip!
Negroni
Ingredients: Gin, Campari, sweet vermouth.
Steps: Combine equal parts of everything in a rocks glass with ice cubes and stir until chilled. Garnish with an orange peel.
Old Fashioned
Ingredient: Sugar cube, bourbon, bitters.
Steps: Wet one sugar cube in a rocks glass with a dash of water and two dashes of bitters. (Typically Angostura bitters, but you can use whatever you like.) Add a jigger of bourbon, stir, then garnish with an orange or lemon peel. Now that’s a classic Old Fashioned!
Revolver
Ingredients: Bourbon, coffee liqueur, bitters.
Steps: Add two parts bourbon, half part coffee liqueur, and two dashes of bitters to an ice-filled glass then stir well. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with an orange peel.
White Russian
Ingredients: Vodka, Kahlúa (or coffee liqueur), cream.
Steps: Add five parts vodka and two parts Kahlua to an ice-filled rocks glass. Top with three parts cream and stir slightly. You’ll love this creamy crowdpleaser for its distinct coffee aroma.
