Sing Sing Theater

SING SING THEATER looks more like a 1930s Shanghai hotel lobby than it does a bar or club, but do not let the retro-futuristic Chinese lanterns, the dimly lit red lighting, or the delicately carved metal screens fool you – SING SING THEATER packs a powerful party. The bar and club located on Sukhumvit Soi 45 is the brainchild of Bangkok based restauranteur Ashley Sutton (Maggie Choo’s, Iron Fairies, Mr. Jones Orphanage, Fat Gutz). The space consists of with a small central dance floor, several bars, mezzanines, “hidden” backrooms, and several single-table balconies spread out throughout the venue. It is a unique clubbing experience because wherever it is that you are situated, your focus can still be on the compact stage located on the ground floor in true “theatre” fashion. Every week, the bar and club welcomes a large crowd of expats and shows them a good time with a mixture of house music and hip-hop nights hosted by the Bangkok Invaders crew.
